The new 2024 Mazda CX-5 Crossover is a luxury, and elegant SUV or CUV. It has very good power with its standard i-Activ AWD all-wheel-drive 2.5 turbo engine.
Pricing for this SUV is very low and impressive. You can buy the new 2024 CX-5 starting at a low $29,300 MSRP. Is not easy to find such an elegant crossover with AWD and so many other standard features, starting at such low pricing.
The CX-5 is very attractive with an enhanced signature design and lots of standard and optional features. This car brings joy to a driver looking for agility in a vehicle. It also offers a high-quality interior and precise handling.
Many people expected the 2024 Mazda CX-5 Crossover to be replaced by the brand’s recently produced CX-50, but it seems that both cars are here to stay and live together like good brothers.

CX-5 is a Very Safe SUV
The new CX-5 is very safe, achieving awards like the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick in 2023.
The CX-5 was also the first vehicle to earn a good rating in IIHS’s new, tougher side impact test, thanks to engineering and safety features that are now standard on the 2024 CX-5 model, giving us the confidence of safety and power when driving this crossover car.
Some of the essential standard safety features that make the CX-5 a very safe car include Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Smart Brake Support, Advanced Smart City Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist.
These safety features combined with the powerful all-wheel-drive 2.5 turbo engine on the CX-5 2.5 Turbo Signature model that I am driving, allow me to feel confident and safe when driving on fast-speed highways.
The top-of-the-line Turbo Signature includes more premium safety features standard, like the Mazda’s latest i-Activsense safety features which add the 360° View Monitor with front and rear parking sensors, Smart City Brake Support Reverse, and Driver Attention Alert.
Some of the worst cities to drive in the world are Miami and Orlando, Florida, not far from my home. Unfortunately, we have very bad and aggressive drivers in these two big cities, and safety is always a concern, especially when you think about teenagers and young drivers starting to drive, and how they are not ready for defensive driving, but having a car like the CX-5 gives me peace of mind to have young and inexperienced drivers have additional tools for a safer driving experience and to protect themselves from the dangerous fast highways.
I love the fact that you don’t pay for all of these important features that are included on every CX-5 model you can buy, from the most basic entry-level trim model to the top of the lineup.

New for the 2024 CX-5 Model
New for this year model 2024, there is a Carbon Turbo trim model with a very sporty tough appearance and turbocharged 256 horsepower performance.
Also new for this year, there is better fuel economy with 2 MPG combined improvement. The addition of i-Stop technology improves EPA’s estimated fuel economy to 26 MPG city, 31 MPG freeway, and 28 MPG combined.
Many of us are expecting that the CX-5 would stop being produced soon and be replaced by its younger brother the new CX-50, just like recently the Mazda CX-30 replaced the CX-3, but so far the CX-5 keeps selling and getting better and more popular with automobile buyers.

Both CX-50 and CX-5 SUVs are very similar and beautifully designed.
Mazda has been building very stylish and beautiful vehicles, and the best-seller CX-5 and the new CX-50 are some of the most attractive models the brand is producing.
The CX-5 started to be sold in 2012, it was the first Mazda to have the full Sky-Activ Technology suite featured in it and it has become a bestseller for the Japanese automaker.
Then in 2022, Mazda started to sell the new 2023 car year Mazda CX-50, a new car that looks very similar to the CX-5 but it comes with certain different features and style.
Both SUVs have similar powertrains with minor performance differences across trim levels, and fuel economy is also similar, so both are great options for budget-conscious drivers.
The CX-50 is longer and has a more aggressive-looking exterior design. The CX-50 has higher ground clearance while the Mazda CX-5 is more agile and suited to city life.

The 2.5 Turbo Signature trim model I am driving is a best-seller and it has everything that you may want, and pricing is affordable for such a premium crossover.
The Turbo Signature is full of premium style and sporty performance with features like silver metallic finish 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, gunmetal front grille, aluminum silver-finished front and rear bumper trim and side mirrors that produce an impressive look.

The new Mazda CX-5 is not an expensive crossover, but it feels premium and more expensive than it is. Mazda provides excellent value for a low price in most of its cars, but the CX-5 goes further than other Mazda automobiles.
Especially when you look at the beautiful exterior shape or when you sit in the elegant optional black leatherette seats you can enjoy very comfortable seats and great back support, and your eyes can enjoy the elegant and premium look of the interior.
While I test drive several cars very often it got my attention how comfortable are the optional black leatherette seats, you can feel as if the large wide seat is hugging you for total back support.
The front seats feature three-level heating. The driver’s seat has six-way power adjustability, and then the passenger seat includes a six-way manual adjustment to find the best position.
The CX 5 Turbo Signature interior is premium with quality materials such as Caturra Brown Nappa leather and genuine woodgrain. I enjoy the LED interior lighting and ambient foot illumination. The frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror further accentuates the high-end feeling of the interior.
The premium Mazda Navigation System installed in the Turbo Signature model features Off-Road Navigation. The Active Driving Display also includes Traffic Sign Recognition.
Buyers of the new CX-5 enjoy a free three-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic & Travel Link providing traffic, weather, sports scores, fuel prices, nearby parking, and other premium features.

Performance
Driving the CX-5 Turbo Signature model is a pleasure, it is fun to drive. The vehicle responds well to acceleration and braking. Automatic speed shifting is very smooth. Cornering and changing lanes quickly on the highway is easy.
Riding this elegant SUV, you feel that the CX-5 was made as a very well trained racing horse that knows how to let you command the drive.
All CX-5 models are paired with a quick-shifting SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and sport mode.
A powerful SKYACTIV 52-G 2.5 4-cylinder engine with Dynamic Pressure Turbo Engine produces 256 horsepower and 320 Torque power. Just like all CX-5 models i-Activ AWD all-wheel-drive is standard.
The smart G-Vectoring Control Plus, helps the vehicle continuously monitor weight distribution and shifting power to the appropriate wheels, providing drivers with near-instant power delivery.
Also Standard on the Turbo Signature model is Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) with Sport and Off-road modes.

The new modern 10.25” infotainment display uses touchscreen functionality. It can be controlled with the multi-function commander knob and also works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A good quality six-speaker sound system is included standard and free of charge on all CX-5 models.
More standard features included free of charge in all CX-5 models are push-button start, leather-wrapped shifter, steering wheel with mounted audio, Bluetooth, cruise control buttons, dual front USB inputs, and two rear USB charging ports.
